Hey everyone, it’s me again with another update on the Ashley Ultra Blog. I’ve been following Ashley for a few years now after finding her on YouTube and I liked her Björk-Gaga styles. I then found her on Facebook/IG/etc and followed her to keep up which I have for a long time now. She wasn’t some major sensation, but I had a few friends who were into experimental pop that were also into her music and artwork.
I had been wondering why she stopped performing. I decided to reach out to a few mutuals in the area she works and performs in (KC) on Facebook. I was hoping for good news but I got some really heartbreaking updates that I feel like I need to share, particularly because I realize her posts have been “off”, and her TikTok is gone now. I’ve been ignoring a lot of her tweets because, honestly, there are all these Twitter accounts popping up that I thought were either her going through a phase or just trolls messing around. According to people
close to her & her social media posts Ashley has been dealing with some serious mental health stuff for a while now. People are saying she’s tried to book shows but venues and event organizers stopped letting her perform because of what was going on. And when that happens she lashes out online (as most of us have seen with no context until now) which just makes things worse. It’s this vicious cycle, and it’s super sad to see. She goes on Twitter Live for hours and hours going on rants about politics tied into various obscure topics that I can’t really understand. She’s also seen attacking a fan page of herself. Her tweets are very bizarre.
. I am absolutely NOT making a medical statement or diagnosing anyone I’m just piecing together what I’ve heard and seen. But with her getting more attention in the wrong ways (like those offensive rants that got her removed from Tik Tok that she moved to Twitter/X) I wanted to shine a light on the underbelly of it all because people will probably see her posts and look at it the wrong way. It’s not just some lady stirring drama and chaos but there might be a more serious problem going on. One person (I’m keeping them anonymous, obvs) shared screenshots from a Facebook post about a group chat that Ashley actually created herself. She was in it at first, but things got so erratic that her friends had to remove her. Apparently, she’s gone off her meds, which led to all this bizarre behavior—attacking and harassing people Her friends were genuinely worried about her but they ended up blocking her for their own safety.
They even mentioned she’s burned all her bridges in KC, like harassing people on Instagram. It’s heartbreaking because these were folks who cared, but they hit their limit.
And get this—one comment in the thread mentioned a specific venue incident where she showed up dressed in a princess costume, waving around a pipe or bowl and calling it a wand. They kicked her out, and yeah, it might be exaggerated (you know how stories get twisted), but it sounds like a recent thing right there in KCMO.
Then there’s the whole Ariel Pink obsession. I always thought it was part of her artistic trolling or lore—like, she’s pgot this whole “pop star prototype” thing going with alter egos like Delancey (her wild party side) or Victoria Euphoria. But nope, from what I’m hearing, she genuinely believes she’s married to him. She got a ton of attention for it on TikTok under @ashley_ultra, with videos name-dropping ex-friends and going viral, but she deleted the account. Now she’s mostly on Twitter (@arielpinkswife //now @ashleyultrqdead//), doing lives and posting stuff that’s escalated into straight-up unhinged conspiracy theories. she’s been posting about the Ariel Pink Reddit subreddit and saying a lot of things that at first I thought were trolling but escalate and become kind of extreme . It’s wild, and what’s worse is that despite her progressive background (she’s been vocal about anti-racism and stuff), these theories are attracting radical extremists in the comments who encourage it, maybe to exploit her for their agendas. Worryingly, some users are egging her on, which could make things even more dangerous. Now she is cutting off all ties and has apparently gone off her meds according to the reports from friends, and this apparently led to her agressive social media rants about Ariel Pink. She’s also being banned from the Ariel Pink Reddit because she has been posting about herself over and over. Saying they are married. Which I previously thought was her shit posting.
I try to follow her and keep my friends in Kansas City with what she’s positing and going live, because people are worried for her safety but her family and people close to her are enabling and not helping her. The lives are getting more disturbing, as im posting this she recently went live and flashed nude while making politically charged rants.
I’ve also been told she’s already recorded an EP called Delancey that’s supposed to drop later this year. But she had a falling out with the producer who’s releasing it. But the producers and folks who helped her create it have become distant due to her behavior, out of fear it might escalate. She won’t be performing anytime soon, which sucks, but at least the album’s done and on the way. I don’t know what the future holds for Ashley, I may be abandoning this blog soon because I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with the direction she is going in but I wish her the best.
I will be making a few updates after this because I think Ashley is an artist who succumbed to mental illness being exploited by political wing nuts online who take advantage of her and her reaction. I will be posting a few updates as I learn more about what’s going on, but this will be the last of this blog. After I get some closure, I will shut it down. I just want to document something other then her being a “crazy Nazi lady” on the internet, because that’s not who SHE was, and there’s more to her story.
